Role Description:

The Azure Databricks Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and analytical solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The role involves working with large datasets, building ETL/ELT dataflows using Databricks and Azure Data Factory, and ensuring data quality, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines and transformations using Azure Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL).
• Integrate data from multiple sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) into Azure Data Lake and downstream systems.
• Develop and orchestrate ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Optimize Databricks clusters and jobs for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement data quality checks, validations, and monitoring across data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to define data models and data governance standards.
• Work with Azure Synapse, Azure SQL DB, and Power BI for reporting and analytics enablement.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production data issues.
• Apply best practices in CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps for data workflows.
• Ensure compliance with organizational data security and privacy policies.
