Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Oracle Database Engineer  to join an enterprise Database Services organization supporting a large-scale, mission-critical database environment across on-premises, Exadata, OCI, AWS, and GCP.

The role will focus on Oracle database architecture, Exadata modernization, cloud migration, automation/DBaaS, performance engineering, observability, security, and enterprise database transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage Oracle 11g/12c/19c/23c databases across OLTP, Data Warehouse, and mixed workloads.
• Provide deep expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, ASM, RMAN, and Data Pump.
• Lead Exadata X6–X9, Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC), and Exadata Cloud engineering and modernization.
• Drive database migrations to OCI, AWS, and GCP, including hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
• Execute zero-downtime migrations using GoldenGate and other replication technologies.
• Design and implement DBaaS and database automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Integrate database provisioning, patching, and compliance workflows with Jenkins/GitHub Actions CI/CD.
• Perform advanced performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
• Implement enterprise monitoring and observability using OEM, Foglight, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Support AI/ML and AIOps initiatives including predictive failure detection, anomaly detection, and GenAI-assisted incident management.
• Implement database security, encryption, auditing, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB/DocumentDB, Redis, and other database teams.
• Serve as a technical lead/SME, mentor engineers, establish standards, and participate in production escalation/support.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Oracle Database Engineering/Administration
• Strong expertise in RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and ASM
• Extensive Exadata experience
• Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on experience with OCI, AWS, and/or GCP
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Shell
• Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical production environments
• Strong database architecture and technical leadership skills
