Role: Program Manager / Architect – GCP Data Platform & Governance

Location: Westchester, IL (Hybrid)

Duration: Long Term

 

 

 

Job Description:-

  • Program Leadership & Delivery: Lead end-to-end execution of enterprise data and cloud transformation programs on GCP, ensuring alignment with business goals, governance standards, and delivery timelines.
  • GCP Data Architecture: Define and oversee scalable data architecture on GCP (BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow, Pub/Sub), ensuring performance, security, and integration with platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and SAP.
  • Data Governance & Cataloging: Drive enterprise data governance initiatives including metadata management, data lineage, data quality, stewardship models, and implementation/adoption of catalog tools (Dataplex, Collibra, Alation).
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface between business, IT leadership, and engineering teams; translate requirements into actionable plans, drive governance discussions, and manage executive communication.
  • Onshore–Offshore Coordination: Manage distributed teams across the US and India, ensuring clear communication, prioritization, sprint alignment, and seamless execution across time zones.
  • Technical Oversight & Risk Management: Leverage data engineering background to validate architecture, identify risks, manage dependencies, track SLAs/milestones, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery across multiple workstreams.
