Job Title:

SAP CO-PA & OTC Lead – State/Public Sector

Location:

Remote

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP COPA & Order-to-Cash (OTC) Lead with strong Public Sector domain exposure. The role involves leading end-to-end OTC processes and profitability reporting (COPA), driving process optimization, and acting as a functional lead across SAP implementations, enhancements, and support engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP OTC (Order-to-Cash):

  • Lead end-to-end OTC processes including:

    • Order Management

    • Pricing & Contracts

    • Billing & Invoicing

    • Revenue Recognition

    • Credit & Collections

  • Configure and support SAP SD components aligned to Public Sector requirements (funds, grants, budget controls).

  • Ensure compliance with public sector regulations, audit requirements, and statutory reporting.

  • Work closely with Finance, Controlling, and downstream systems.

SAP COPA (Profitability Analysis):

  • Lead COPA configuration (Costing-based / Account-based).

  • Design profitability reporting by:

    • Program / Grant

    • Cost Center

    • Fund / Budget

    • Customer / Service

  • Integrate COPA with SD, FI, and Public Sector Management (PSM/Funds Management).

  • Drive margin, cost recovery, and performance analysis for public sector programs.

Leadership & Delivery:

  • Act as Functional Lead for SAP COPA & OTC streams.

  • Manage requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.

  • Lead workshops with business stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Mentor junior consultants and review functional designs.

  • Coordinate with technical teams for enhancements, interfaces, and reports.

Required Skills & Experience:

Must-Have:

  • 10+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on:

    • SAP SD (OTC)

    • SAP COPA

  • Proven experience in Public Sector projects (Government, PSU, Utilities, Defense, or similar).

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Funds Management

    • Budget control

    • Grants / Programs

  • Experience leading SAP implementations or large transformation programs.

  • Excellent functional documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
