Job Title: Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst (Data & Analytics)
Location: Woodland Hills, CA (Hybrid – Local Preferred)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst (PO/BSA) with a strong background in Data & Analytics and Healthcare/Pharmacy (Rx) domain. The ideal candidate will serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving delivery of data engineering, reporting, and analytics solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as Product Owner for Agile/Scrum teams, managing and prioritizing product backlogs
• Create and maintain epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for development teams
• Drive delivery of Data Engineering, Reporting, and Analytics initiatives
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders
• Support reporting and dashboard development using BI tools
• Ensure data accuracy, validation, reconciliation, and quality standards
• Work with Healthcare/PBM datasets including Claims, Membership, Provider, and Benefits data
Required Skills:
• 8+ years of Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst experience
• Strong experience delivering Data & Analytics / Data Engineering projects
• 6+ years of SQL and Data Analysis experience
• Strong understanding of Data Pipelines, ETL/ELT Processes, and Data Warehousing concepts
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience including backlog management, user stories, and Agile ceremonies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Healthcare, Health Insurance, PBM, or Pharmacy (Rx) domain experience
• Knowledge of Claims, Membership, Provider, and Benefits data models
• Experience with HIPAA compliance and EDI transactions (834, 835, 837)
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, Snowflake, APIs, and Data Governance frameworks
• Prior experience supporting enterprise analytics and reporting platforms
