Job Title: IBM DataStage Integration Support Engineer

Location: Culver City, CA
Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)
Visa: USC, H1B & Genuine GC

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Integration Support Engineer to support enterprise data integration platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage, Unix environments, scheduling tools, and scripting, along with the ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production issues efficiently.

Required Skills

  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage
  • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux servers
  • Experience with shell scripting, cron jobs, and relational databases
  • Hands-on experience with Python programming
  • Ability to create, debug, and maintain shell scripts
  • Experience analyzing and resolving DataStage job failures
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across DataStage applications and Unix servers

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Working knowledge of the Snowflake platform
  • Experience with Control-M
  • Exposure to SAP job configuration
  • Experience with Gentran
  • Understanding of custom Java programs
  • Experience configuring and debugging MS SQL stored procedures

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve job failures in IBM DataStage and Unix environments
  • Perform code migrations across environments
  • Create users and assign appropriate roles and permissions
  • Coordinate with IBM Support for tool-related issues
  • Unlock DataStage jobs and sessions as required
  • Take corrective actions for job failures (kill, force-complete, hold, etc.)
  • Configure and support SAP and Unix jobs
  • Manage Control-M activities, including:
    • Calendar updates
    • Workload policy creation
    • New agent installations and agent upgrades
  • Support PagerDuty configurations
  • Work with Gentran, including:
    • Maps
    • Mailboxes
    • FTP scripts
  • Analyze and support custom Java applications
  • Configure and debug MS SQL stored procedures
