Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Analyst
- Strong background in Cable/Telecom domain (Cox preferred)
- Strong experience in Cable domain, preferably with Cox Communications systems
- Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis
- Hands-on experience with OSS/BSS systems (provisioning, activation, billing, service assurance)
- Strong ability to convert business needs into technical requirements
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Role Overview
This role requires an experienced Business/Technical Analyst with strong expertise in the Cable & Telecommunications domain, specifically supporting Cox-related systems and workflows. The analyst will drive requirements analysis, solution design, and process optimization across provisioning, billing, network operations, and customer experience platforms.
Technical Core & Responsibilities
Requirements & Documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Maintain documentation including BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and system diagrams
- Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, cross-functional meetings, and technical discussions
Cox-Specific Workflows
- Support Cox-specific workflows including provisioning, activation, billing, and service assurance
- Perform end-to-end process analysis to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Provide subject matter expertise on Cox/cable systems
- Ensure adherence to cable industry standards and operational best practices
Agile & Collaboration
- Work closely with architects and developers to ensure solution alignment with business goals
- Manage product backlog and participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum)
- Support UAT planning, test case reviews, and defect triage
- Conduct data analysis and validation using SQL
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for customer experience and operational efficiency
Nice to Have
- Experience with Cox-specific platforms
- Exposure to APIs, system integrations, and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with customer-facing cable workflows (installations, service changes, trouble tickets)
- Experience with reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence
