Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Location: West Chester, PA (Hybrid)

Duration: Long Term

 

Description:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study and 7-10+ years of progressive IT Business, Systems or Product experience.
• Experience with both Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies including experience with developing requirements documents (Waterfall) and User Stories (Agile).
• Experience using JIRA for requirements/user story tracking. Advanced SQL querying skills including Joins, Select Statements etc.
• Experience with supporting requirements for API based applications. Experience with enterprise reporting tools such as Tableau for reporting.
• Experience working with gathering requirements and supporting business needs for internal applications, 3rd party applications (Product) and external customer applications.
• Experience with UAT process and desire to be actively involved in UAT process.

Responsibilities

• Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users.
• Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
• Clearly identifies project stakeholders and establish customer classes, as well as their characteristics.
• Assists in conducting research on products to meet agreed upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts.
• Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
• Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to the business stakeholders.
• Liaisons between business and IT to drive solutions
• Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Works with IT project Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
• Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile development practices within the organization.
• Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study and 7-10+ years of progressive IT Business, Systems or Product experience.
