Job Title Systems Engineer / Cloud Systems Engineer (AWS)

Renton, WA - Onsite / Hybrid

Rate $65/hr CTC All Inclusive including 4.8% VMS Charges

 

Systems Engineer / Cloud Systems Engineer (AWS)

 

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

•       AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator)

•       Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)

•       Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK stack)

•       Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

•       Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks

 

Experience Required

•       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

•       3+ years of experience in systems engineering or cloud engineering

•       Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, etc.)

•       Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, load balancing)

•       Experience with Linux/Unix and/or Windows server administration

•       Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)

•       Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

•       Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

 

Roles & Responsibilities

•       Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS environments

•       Manage and optimize compute, storage, networking, and security services in AWS

•       Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation

•       Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools like CloudWatch

•       Automate system provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines

•       Ensure system security, compliance, and data protection best practices

•       Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis

•       Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to improve system architecture

•       Support disaster recovery planning, backups, and business continuity solutions

•       Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
