The SDET will serve as the primary owner of the automated testing ecosystem, helping drive test strategy, framework stability, and continuous improvement across UI, API, microservice, and Kafka workflow testing. This role partners closely with developers, quantitative researchers, product partners, and DevOps teams to ensure automated test coverage remains reliable, scalable, and aligned to evolving product needs in a cloud-native AWS environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Own and enhance the team’s automated testing ecosystem across API, microservice, Kafka, and Angular UI workflows.
- Lead best practices and continuous improvement for the team’s Karate and Cypress test frameworks.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test suites to ensure stability, reliability, and strong regression coverage.
- Partner with developers, quantitative researchers, product partners, and DevOps engineers to align automated testing with product and release goals.
- Validate RESTful APIs, distributed microservices, and event-driven workflows using Karate and related automation tools.
- Create and maintain Angular UI test coverage using Cypress and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Support testing across cloud-native AWS-based applications and distributed systems.
- Use SQL to inspect, validate, and prepare test data, including joins, filters, and aggregations.
- Monitor test suite health, identify flaky tests or coverage gaps, and drive remediation to improve pipeline quality.
- Work within CI/CD processes managed with DevOps support to enable efficient automated testing and release validation.
