Required Skills & Qualifications

- Agile: Proven experience playing the Scrum Master role.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft VSTS or Jira.
- Data Skills: Expert skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with document management and process modeling.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management.
Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in the U.S. Mortgage industry to drive process optimization and system automation. This role is a blend of traditional business analysis and Scrum Master responsibilities. You will be responsible for conducting time-in-motion studies to identify bottlenecks, designing technical solutions with the development team, and leading the transition of new processes back to the business. The ideal candidate is an expert in mortgage workflows and proficient in using VSTS/Jira to manage agile delivery.
Technical Core & Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Analysis
- Time-in-Motion Studies: Conduct deep-dive analysis and facilitate focus groups to identify areas for system streamlining and automation.
- Solution Design: Recommend process changes and work with developers to design, test, and implement updates within company databases and applications.
- Risk Management: Identify project milestones and develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.
- Advanced Excel: Utilize expert-level Excel skills (V-Lookup, H-Lookup, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting) to analyze business data and performance metrics.
Agile Leadership & Deployment
- Scrum Master Role: Facilitate agile ceremonies, manage backlogs in VSTS or Jira, and ensure the team adheres to Scrum best practices.
- UAT Execution: Collaborate with the Deployment Manager to organize and execute project-specific User Acceptance Testing.
- Roadmap Ownership: Define high-level project goals and maintain the strategic roadmap for system enhancements.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Documentation: Assist corporate training teams in creating documentation focused on process consistency and proficiency.
- Facilitation: Lead initial training sessions and ensure a seamless hand-off of management and training back to business units after project completion.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the single point of contact for project escalations and communicate project status to senior management.
