Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced
Oracle ERP Project Manager (Functional) to lead business-facing workstreams for
a large-scale enterprise Oracle ERP implementation. This role will partner
closely with business leaders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure
successful planning, testing, training, and go-live readiness.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing full lifecycle Oracle ERP
implementations and excels at translating business requirements into functional
solutions within the Grants Management modules. This is a fully remote role
with occasional travel to the San Francisco Bay Area as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional project activities across planning,
design, build validation, testing, and go-live readiness.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, validate,
and document requirements, translating them into functional specifications
and process flows.
- Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
including test planning, script development, defect tracking, and
resolution with technical teams.
- Drive stakeholder communication across business, IT,
and executive leadership, including preparing materials for steering
committees and program updates.
- Support change management and adoption, including
training readiness, communication planning, and cutover activities.
- Monitor and manage project scope, schedule, risks, and
issues, escalating appropriately to the Program Manager.
- Ensure business processes align with Oracle ERP best
practices while meeting organizational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- PMP certification
- 10+ years of project management experience
- Proven experience managing full lifecycle Oracle ERP
implementations (Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud/Fusion)
- Strong experience leading functional workstreams
including requirements gathering, testing coordination, and training
readiness
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication
skills across business, finance, clinical, and IT teams
- Experience coordinating UAT, training programs, and ERP
go-live activities
- Ability to work fully remote with occasional travel to
San Francisco
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, academic medical centers, or
research institutions
- Prior experience working with Academic Medical Centers
- Bay Area–based candidates or those able to travel
easily to the region
- Familiarity with change management frameworks and enterprise
training program execution
