Title: JDE AS400 Developer

Location: Atlanta GA

Competencies: 10+ years’ experience required with Oracle JDE World product configuration for Supply Chain and Sales Order Management.

Must-Have Skills

1. JDE WorldSoft A7.3 or later (SVR, DW, VO, PO, UDC, DD, WW, RDA, FDA, SDA)

2. JDE functional knowledge of WMS, SnD and Finance modules

3. AS/400 development – DB2/400, SQL/400, SQLRPGLE, RPG/RPGLE, CLLE, CL

4. Tools – ALDON, HAWKEYE, DBU, UCT, JIRA, ServiceNow

5. Experience with JDE product WMS or PKMS is a plus

 

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day stability of JDE World applications on IBM i / AS/400 (Tier 0/Tier 1)

• Monitor production alerts, jobs and interfaces; triage issues, restore service quickly and escalate critical alerts per SOP

• Provide on-call support, handle incident intake, impact assessment and customer communications until closure

• Perform root-cause analysis for Sev-1 / Sev-2 incidents; implement permanent fixes and preventive controls

• Support change windows, outages and maintenance; validate post-deploy health and ensure rollback readiness

• Maintain and execute operational runbooks, escalation paths and first-hour checklists

• Track and close incidents and problems, coordinating with infrastructure, network, database and downstream application teams

• Produce and distribute operational reports and dashboards on incidents, trends and SLAs

 

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM i (AS/400) operations and tooling

• Proficient in CLLE, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE with ability to validate data using SQL400

• Experience supporting JDE World Supply Chain and Finance modules in production, including job streams, batch runs and integrations

• Familiarity with API / interface checks using tools such as Postman or SOAP UI

• Comfortable reading logs, job spool files and system messages to isolate faults quickly

 

Process & Governance

• Work within ITSM processes (e.g., ServiceNow) for incidents, problems and changes; keep tickets current and accurate

• Document RCA, resolution steps and knowledge-base articles; keep SOPs up to date

• Contribute to alert tuning and threshold setting to reduce noise and improve MTTR

• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies for production backlog and problem tickets
