Sr. Business Systems Analyst-Citizen Only
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19103 (3 days onsite) (1 In-person Interview)
Duration 12-18mth+
Must have:
5+ years of experience with Health Insurance premium billing
Responsibilities:
Performs complex systems testing, capable of providing test scenarios, system debugging and understands how to gather data independently for analysis.
Determines business requirements by working with business clients and in discussions with Business Architecture, IT and Vendors (or cross-functional technical teams) to documents and captures the appropriate business system application impacts. Recommends systems criteria and project scope.
Identifies potential issues and risks after conducting a gap analysis.
Plans and consults with business client on data reporting and trending reports and makes recommendations in selection of project team members.
Oversees the design and development of user system documentation.
Primary IT contact to define business system requirements.
May have input in the selection of vendors and evaluation of software applications.
Performs investigation, evaluation, and documentation of system design findings.
Tracks systems performance and reviews problem logs.
Evaluates and analyzes coded data elements and recommends changes needed.
Assures that users understand business system functions.
Works with appropriate training departments to assure technical information is accurately presented.
Create and apply diagrams that represent the flow, the process and the transformation of data within various systems.
Consults with management and other functional areas to identify divisional needs, systems business requirements, as well as resolving business problems.
Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and practices.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience supporting healthcare finance applications is highly preferred, any finance is preferred
Proven effective communication and analytical skills required to address and present most complex ideas and concepts to users, business systems analyst and management.
Effective facilitation and presentation skills necessary to demonstrate and train in business systems solutions in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated ability to define business systems solutions, make decisions, identify problems, coordinate resources, and implement changes.
Clearly define user training manuals.
In-depth knowledge of corporate objectives and business requirements.
Ability to develop, plan, and create timelines for project life cycle.
Proven effectiveness in maintaining project targets and deadlines.
Must be able to work independently, be resourceful and build teaming consensus for project teams
Qualifications – External:
Hybrid
Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday).
This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model.
While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
