Lead System Analyst with API

Location : Remote

 

Must have skills.
cloud, APIs, Databases (oracle is preferred), Kafka, data feeds

Mandatory: Experience in Banking / Financial Services domain
Preferred: Exposure to Payments domain

 

There will be two teams involved:

1. Product Owner Team
2. API Team

The candidate will be working with the 2^nd- API Team. If the first team needs any information or support, they should first coordinate with the API Team.

There are System Analysts supporting the API teams as well. The responsibility of the candidate will be to connect with the first team, gather the required information, and communicate/provide that information to his API team.

 

 

Job Description: Lead System Analyst
Role Overview
The client is seeking an experienced and highly mature Lead System Analyst to drive technical leadership across a team of system analysts.

This role will be responsible for leading technical discussions, making key design decisions, and defining the implementation roadmap aligned with business and technology objectives

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of system analysts, ensuring alignment with project goals and delivery timelines
• Drive technical discussions, solution design, and decision-making across multiple initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to assess the impact of:
o New or modified data feeds
o System integrations
o Database restructuring
o Enhancements to existing applications
• Analyse upstream and downstream system changes and define corresponding backend solution adjustments
• Translate business and technical requirements into clear, well-structured user stories and documentation
• Develop a deep understanding of system dependencies, data flows, and integration patterns
• Evaluate multiple solution approaches and drive the team toward the optimal technical path
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure clarity and alignment

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience in System Analysis with leadership responsibilities
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive solution architecture discussions

• Solid understanding of:
o Cloud platforms
o APIs & integrations
o Data feeds and event-driven systems
o Database concepts (Oracle preferred)
o Messaging platforms such as Kafka
• Experience working on system integrations and backend solution design
• Strong documentation skills with expertise in writing user stories and requirements
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Domain Requirements
• Mandatory: Experience in Banking / Financial Services domain
