Client: Apex/Ahold
Location: Remote but local for Carlisle, PA; Salisbury, NC; Landover, MD
or Quincy, MA.

Remote but must live within a 2-3 hours’ drive from one of these locations and
able to travel quarterly for meetings if necessary to one of these locations:

REQUIRED SKILLS
Required (MUST HAVE) Skills: SAP S/4 HANA, SAP BPC Reporting
Tool, PowerBI Reporting, SQL, Azure Data Lakes 12+ years of previous business
consulting / industry or related experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant
discipline (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for
substitution for the bachelor’s degree on an exception basis).. 5+ years' in
Data Governance or related experience. 5+ years' of SAP S4 (S/4 HANA) and SAP
BPC Reporting. 2+ years' experience with PowerBI reporting. 2+ years' of
experience with Azure Data Lakes Expertise with SQL for querying data.
This role is for a Senior/Lead level Business Intelligence
Analyst (Not less than 10+ years exp) who has strong SAP HANA (S4) experience
and strong BPC Reporting (SAP Reporting Tool). In addition they need recent
experience with PowerBI reporting and getting data from Azure Data Lakes.
Apex Systems is currently seeking an experience Business
Intelligence Lead who has experience supporting and driving financial analytics
using PowerBI, SAP BPC and working with Azure Data Lakes.
POSITION SUMMARY
- Drive and lead the
development of management reporting (BPC, PowerBI, Fiori), reporting
demand management, standard reporting package production (OpEx, Capex,
P/L, MA) and executive level reporting dashboards. This position
will provide input into the overall Finance management reporting approach
within the Ahold Delhaize USA and globally, partnering with EU, GSO, BPP
and IT.
- Drives and leads the
management of reporting tools, making well thought-out decisions on
complex or ambiguous data reporting issues. Works cross functionally
with brand finance on the execution of developing meaningful reports that
help drive smart business decisions.
- Decisions influence the
team’s effectiveness toward the overall planning, scheduling, and
deliverables of the function and overall roadmap. Poor decisions
have an impact on medium term business goals. Effective internal and
external interactions, secured through strong influencing skills, are an
important link in the communication chain of the business unit and
contribute to the effective implementation of major projects and/or
functional initiatives.
- Thinking is directed
towards undefined and ambiguous challenges that require solutions that
build on industry and disciplinary best practice in order to improve
current practice or result in the direct development of new procedures.
- As a mid-level expert,
uses knowledge of leading edge solutions in conjunction with industry and
business skills to develop and implement business strategies
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Develop and oversee the
execution of broad reaching and business-related financial management
reporting insights for related end to end process area. Decisions
influence the team’s effectiveness toward the overall planning,
scheduling, and deliverables of the function and overall roadmap.
Poor decisions have an impact on medium term business goals.
Effective internal and external interactions, secured through strong
influencing skills, are an important link in the communication chain of
the business unit and contribute to the effective implementation of major
projects and/or functional initiatives. Key contributor to drive the
overall financial performance metrics roadmap, which is being developed to
help transition RBS Finance into a more service-oriented organization.
- Drive adoption of
standard reporting package development and production (OpEx, Capex, P/L
MA), executive level reporting - Dashboards, etc., Ad Hoc Reporting,
Reporting Too Management and Reporting Tool education/training.
- Applies depth and
breadth of expertise across business areas. Has extensive functional
and project experience, is a recognized expert in a functional area and
enough organizational and operational expertise to soundly identify
relevant solutions and metrics. Will leverage Lean Six Sigma tools
and methodologies to work with responsible process area in the development
of solutions.
- Monitor financial
systems service performance using defined metrics, evaluates to ensure
full utilization of tool functionality is being used and
refines/recommends new tools as appropriate. Assessment of the problem
involves analysis of multiple complex problems at the underlying process
level. Unique, creative and innovative solutions are consistently
required. Applies expertise and core competencies gathered from
major projects and functional experience to solve problems. Shares
learnings and best practices with Analysts responsible for other process
areas, and also leverages their learnings and experience.
- Promotes an effective
project / functional environment through the effective use of indirect
mentoring and coaching skills. Plans and assigns work within the
context of a project /function. Leads by example, demonstrating leadership
attributes, depth/ breath of knowledge and experience allows for a wide
range of project / functional guidance.
- Lead monthly planning
reviews (between the Captive and Brand Finance teams) to highlight
performance against service levels in their area of responsibility as well
as key drivers for improvement and top challenges. Contribute to
brand-level and organizational communications.
KEY SKILLS
- Strong knowledge and
experience of SAP financial data analytics and reporting modules
- Demonstrates a proven
record of success in enabling technologies and the impact on Data
Analytics and Reporting, Finance, and accounting processes
- Ability to proactively
identify and mitigate process risks within a cross-functional, global
organization
- Deep understanding of
continuous process improvement techniques
- Experience working in a
sophisticated multi-ERP system environment
- Experience leading
project timelines and milestones in complex business environments.
