We are hiring for two senior-level technology roles supporting critical state government systems with long-term engagements. These opportunities are with Texas Health and Human Services Commission in Austin and Information Technology Services (ITS) in Albany. We are seeking highly experienced professionals who bring deep expertise in reliability engineering, cloud platforms, .NET development, and quality assurance practices to support large-scale, high-availability applications.

Position 1: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Client: Texas Health and Human Services Commission
Location: Austin, TX – Hybrid (Local candidates only)
Experience: 15+ Years

Role Overview

The SRE will ensure the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of production systems by applying software engineering practices to infrastructure and operations. This role partners closely with development teams to build resilient, observable, and automated platforms aligned to defined SLOs.

Key Responsibilities

Design, operate, and improve highly available distributed systems
Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks
Lead incident response, RCA, and postmortem practices
Automate infrastructure and operational workflows
Integrate security and compliance into platform operations
Develop runbooks, dashboards, and operational documentation

Must Have Skills

8+ years in SRE/DevOps/Systems Engineering roles
Strong Linux/Unix system internals knowledge
Programming/Scripting: Python, Go, Java, or Bash
AWS or GCP cloud platforms and cloud-native architecture
Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
Monitoring, observability, and incident management expertise
Experience with SLIs/SLOs and production reliability practices

Nice to Have

Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, Application Insights
Chaos engineering and resiliency testing
Canary deployments, feature flags, progressive delivery
24x7 production support/on-call experience
Strong documentation and operational standards practice

Position 2: Senior .NET Full Stack Developer / QA Specialist

Client: Information Technology Services (ITS)
Location: Albany, NY – Hybrid (50% onsite)
Duration: 30 Months
Experience: 14+ Years
Interview: Webcasting (Camera On)

Role Overview

This role supports critical state applications under AGM .NET Projects, ensuring the highest quality standards across development, testing, performance validation, and user acceptance. The consultant will work closely with the .NET development team and business users on enhancements, defect management, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and test multi-tier .NET Framework and .NET Core web applications
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and QA processes
Perform Unit, System, Integration, UAT, and Performance testing
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application performance issues
Defect tracking and backlog management via Azure DevOps
Work with SQL Server/Oracle to validate backend data processing
Maintain technical and user documentation

Must Have Skills

84+ months in .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web Forms
Extensive experience in QA, UAT, and Performance Testing of .NET apps
Test tools: ALM, UFT, LoadRunner, JMeter, SoapUI, TFS
SQL Server/Oracle query experience
Test plan creation from business and functional requirements
Azure DevOps for backlog and defect tracking
Strong documentation skills

Nice to Have

Experience with Matter Management, Agenda, Compliance, ESCO processes
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience training users on test management tools
