Position: Java/Scala Developer
Location: NYC, NY ( In person must)
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Skills Required:
Technical skills:
Solid RDBMS and SQL knowledge
Strong database related hands-on development experience especially in DB2
Experience with Java EE (Spring, Gradle)
Exposure to Scala
Familiarity with ETL
Familiarity with Linux and Windows development environments
Willing to upskill and contribute in software modernization journey to latest tech stacks
Working familiarity with BDD and TDD approaches in software lifecycles
Working familiarity using GenAI-powered IDEs, such as VS Code and Co-Pilot
A generalist with demonstrated abilities in specific areas and a strong ability to deliver reliably
Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects, able to work with the global team, and manage time and tasks effectively and independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with object-oriented software development
Experience with modern SDLC methodologies, including Agile processes
Familiarity

Skills Desired
Experience with a scripting language; Python preferred
Experience in the financial industry
Experience with JIRA and standard Agile ceremonies and practices
Familiarity with Jenkins
Familiarity with Data Warehouse / Data Lake reporting concepts and design
