Job Title: Software QA Engineer 

Location: Remote 

Rate: $50/hr on C2C 

Job Description;

 Seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer with 10+ years of testing complex web applications and all phases of the SDLC. 

This role supports the Texas Education Agency’s IT-SEDS QA group, ensuring quality delivery of applications and reports. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop, execute, and document manual and automated test cases for web apps, reports (HTML, PDF, Excel), APIs, and data validation. 
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and accessibility testing using tools such as JMeter/WAPT Pro. 
• Write and run SQL queries for data analysis and validation. 
• Collaborate with development teams and customers to clarify requirements and ensure coverage. Report defects, track progress, and provide detailed test results and summaries. 

Qualifications: 

10+ years in web application testing and full SDLC QA experience. 

5+ years with advanced SQL/database testing. 

3+ years with API, JSON, XML testing. 

2+ years with performance testing tools (JMeter, WAPT Pro). 

Preferred: report testing, SOAP/REST API testing, Zephyr Scale, JIRA.
