Job Title: Oracle Fusion Business Analyst – Financials (Technical/Functional)

Location: Oakbrook – onsite 5x per week (Need Locals Or Nearby)

 

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and technically oriented Oracle Fusion Business Analyst to support our Financials suite. This role reports into the IT organization and serves as a bridge between finance stakeholders and technical teams. As demand grows, you’ll be focused on resolving Oracle Fusion Financials (AP, GL, FA, Cash Management, Project Accounting, and Reporting) tickets, driving root cause analysis, solution design, and data/process troubleshooting.


Key Responsibilities:

· Perform in-depth investigation and technical analysis of incidents and enhancement requests in Oracle Fusion Financials modules.

· Elicit and document detailed business and technical requirements, workflows, data interfaces, and integration points for AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Project Accounting, and Financial Reporting.

· Partner closely with development and support teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and solutions.

· Coordinate and participate in end-to-end solution design, configuration (within Fusion), and testing, including debugging, test scripting, and UAT support.

· Develop and maintain clear process and solution documentation, including technical diagrams and post-implementation support plans.

· Act as an SME for Oracle Fusion Financials, providing guidance on configuration, baseline and custom workflows, security roles, and reporting/data extraction.

· Serve as a primary contact for finance system users, communicating technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, gathering feedback, and explaining process or system changes.

· Track, prioritize, and manage a high volume of support tickets, proactively identifying repeat issues and opportunities for process automation or system improvement.


Technical & Professional Qualifications:

· 3+ years as a functional/technical analyst or similar position supporting Oracle Fusion Financials.

· Hands-on experience with Oracle Financials modules (AP, GL, FA, Cash Management, Project Accounting, Reporting) and related configuration/troubleshooting.

· Understanding of data structures, integrations (API, web services), and basic SQL for data validation and reporting.

· Familiarity with IT change management, SDLC methodologies, and testing best practices.

· Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination and technical documentation.
