Position: SAP ABAP HR / FICA Developer

Location: Remote (with occasional travel)

 

Note: IS-U experience is mandatory. Please do not submit regular ABAP profiles without IS-U background.

 

Requirement Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking SAP FICA Developer to join our SAP S/4HANA team. This role is focused on developing and enhancing Financial Contract Accounting (FICA) solutions within the Clean Core framework using modern SAP extensibility tools and architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in FICA, ABAP development, and SAP’s cloud-ready ecosystem including SAP BTP.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom FICA solutions in SAP S/4HANA, aligned with Clean Core principles.
• Implement side-by-side extensions using SAP BTP where applicable.
• Develop and optimize ABAP code (OO ABAP, CDS Views, BAdIs) for high performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with functional teams to convert business needs into scalable technical designs.
• Build and enhance Fiori/UI5 user-facing applications.
• Ensure all developments are upgrade-safe and cloud-compliant.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and contribute to reusable libraries.
• Integrate with other SAP modules (SD, FI, CRM) and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in the FICA domain.
• Stay up-to-date with SAP innovations including RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, and S/4HANA Cloud.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of SAP development experience, with a focus on FICA in S/4HANA.
• Strong in ABAP, OO ABAP, CDS Views, and Fiori/UI5 development.
• Practical experience with SAP BTP and cloud extensibility.
• Deep understanding of Clean Core principles and upgrade-safe coding standards.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certification in S/4HANA or SAP BTP.
• Experience with SAP Service Cloud v2 or other SAP cloud-based solutions.
• Knowledge of Workflow, Business Events in FICA.
• Exposure to REST APIs, OData Services, and modern integration patterns.
