Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Job Description:
Quick clarification on this role since we’re seeing a lot of frontend Shopify developers come through. Shopify experience is required, but the primary focus of the role is vendor integrations, not storefront or theme development. The work is centered around Shopify API integrations, vendor data feeds (API/CSV), and helping reconcile/transform vendor inventory data into the platform’s format, along with some custom work in AWS/Lambda.
 
Please prioritize integration developers with Shopify experience or Shopify developers with strong API/integration backgrounds, rather than frontend/theme-focused Shopify profiles.
 
Core Responsibilities of the Role
Own vendor integrations end‑to‑end
Act as the technical liaison with vendors:
Work directly with vendor technical contacts
Explain APIs and data requirements (vendors vary widely in technical maturity)
Primary focus on API integrations (preferred method)

Secondary responsibilities:
CSV data review, reconciliation, and transformation
Supporting lead developer on new application development initiatives

Technical Environment & Stack
Shopify platform
Heavy use of Shopify APIs
Not just theme work; significant backend integration work
AWS‑based architecture
Custom logic built with AWS Lambdas
Vendor data formats
Primarily RESTful APIs
JSON is critical
Some SOAP exposure
Python helpful, but not a must‑have
