Job Title: SAP MM / MDG Functional Consultant

Module: SAP MM, SAP MDG

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM / MDG Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Materials Management configuration, data migration, and Master Data Governance. The ideal candidate will have led MM data activities across end-to-end SAP implementations and worked closely with business, ABAP, and BI teams to ensure data accuracy and system stability.

Key Responsibilities

SAP MM & SCM Configuration

  • Configure SAP MM including Plants, Storage Locations, Procurement (PR/PO/STO), Inventory Management, and Logistics
  • Support Material Planning (MRP), cycle counting, and inventory valuation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP MM/SCM functional issues

Data Migration & Management

  • Lead data extraction, cleansing, mapping, migration, and reconciliation activities
  • Perform and support mass data loads using LSMW, LTMC, Migration Cockpit, or custom programs
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity during cutover and post-go-live

SAP MDG

  • Implement SAP MDG workflows, approval processes, validations, and derivations
  • Configure and customize MDG user interfaces
  • Work with Business Context Viewer and Master Data Consolidation
  • Support Fiori applications related to MDG

Integration & Technical Collaboration

  • Handle IDOC/EDI mapping and troubleshooting (MATMAS, CLFMAS)
  • Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs
  • Create functional and technical specifications for ABAP and integration developments
  • Collaborate with ABAP, BI, and ETL teams on reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements

Project & Go-Live Support

  • Act as primary MM functional resource for master data across projects
  • Support cutover, go-live, and hyper-care phases
  • Prepare user documentation and conduct end-user training sessions

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of hands-on SAP MM configuration experience
  • Strong background in procurement, logistics, and inventory management
  • Proven experience in SAP MM data migration and reconciliation
  • Hands-on experience with SAP MDG configuration
  • Experience working on at least one end-to-end SAP implementation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting multiple ETL and reporting projects
  • Strong understanding of material master data and business impact
  • Prior experience in large-scale SAP transformation or S/4HANA projects
