Overview

We are transforming a proven set of internal, revenue-generating tools into a high-scale SaaS platform for the financial publishing (FinPub) industry. These tools already work in production for internal users and partners; the mandate now is to harden, modernize, and scale them for industry-wide adoption.

This is not greenfield work. This is high-velocity execution on real systems with real traffic and aggressive deadlines.

We are seeking Senior Software Engineers who can jump into an existing PHP-based ecosystem, rapidly understand how things work, and help convert and scale these systems into containerized, autoscaling microservices capable of handling millions of requests and database transactions.

Immediate Priorities (First 60 Days)

· Convert internal tools into public-facing SaaS products

· Productize:

o Tokenization / redirect services (high-throughput, low-latency)

o SMS platform for external customers

· Refactor legacy PHP + cron-driven workflows into:

o Node.js services

o Dockerized workloads

o AWS ECS with autoscaling

· Support multi-tenant architecture

o Client isolation

o Separate databases per customer

o Environment-level segmentation

· Improve reliability, performance, and usability (not visual polish, but clarity and correctness)

Technical Environment

You will be working alongside a dedicated Server/Cloud Architect who owns infrastructure decisions.

Current / Core Stack

· PHP, SQL (MySQL / RDS), HTML/CSS

· Internal admin tools and data pipelines

· Cron-driven workflows

· AWS EC2, RDS

Target / Scaling Stack

· Node.js

· Docker

· AWS ECS (autoscaling)

· Microservice-based architecture

· High-throughput redirect services

· Async processing, queues, and logging

· Infrastructure designed for burst traffic and abuse resistance

What We’re Looking For

Required

· Senior-level experience building production systems at scale

· Strong backend engineering background

· Comfortable reading, refactoring, and translating legacy PHP systems

· Experience with:

o Node.js

o Docker

o Microservices

o SQL at scale (transactions, indexing, performance)

· Ability to design systems that survive:

o Traffic spikes

o Large volumes of writes

o External users doing “unexpected things”

· Comfortable working fast in a small, senior-heavy team

· Pragmatic mindset: make it work, make it scale, make it safe

Strong Plus

· AWS experience (especially ECS)

· Experience with SaaS multi-tenancy

· Experience migrating monoliths or cron-based systems into services

· Prior exposure to high-volume redirects, tracking, or messaging systems

· FinTech / AdTech / MarTech / Messaging background
