Title: CyberArk Business Analyst

A technical business analyst for a CyberArk role-based access project would be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing systems related to role-based access control (RBAC) within CyberArk's privileged access management platform. The job description may vary depending on the company, but typically it would include the following responsibilities and requirements:

Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for role-based access control within CyberArk.
    • Analyze existing access control processes and recommend improvements.
  2. Design and Implementation:
    • Design and implement RBAC solutions within CyberArk, ensuring they meet business needs and comply with security policies.
    • Configure CyberArk environments to support role-based access control.
    • Develop and maintain documentation related to RBAC configurations and implementations.
  3. Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct testing to ensure RBAC configurations function as expected and meet business and security requirements.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to RBAC in CyberArk.
  4. Project Management:
    • Manage RBAC projects from initiation to completion, including planning, executing, and monitoring project progress.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as IT, security, and business units to ensure successful implementation.
  5. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and progress.
    • Train and educate stakeholders on the RBAC implementation and its impact on their work.
  6. Security and Compliance:
    • Ensure CyberArk RBAC implementations comply with relevant security standards and regulations.
    • Stay up to date with security trends and best practices related to RBAC and privileged access management.
  7. Performance Optimization:
    • Continuously assess and optimize the performance of RBAC implementations within CyberArk.
    • Propose enhancements and updates as needed.

Skills:

  1. Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of CyberArk’s privileged access management platform and role-based access control.
    • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) and directory services (e.g., Active Directory).
    • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and other relevant standards.
  2. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills to assess business needs and translate them into RBAC solutions.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  3. Project Management Skills:
    • Experience managing projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating with various teams.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, information technology, or engineering.
    • Previous experience working as a business analyst in a cybersecurity or IT environment.
  6. Certifications (Optional but advantageous):
    • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CyberArk certifications can be beneficial.
