Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Software Integration Engineer with 9+ years of experience to design, develop, and integrate scalable, cloud-native backend solutions. This hybrid role in Troy, MI, requires a candidate who can regularly travel to Canada. The engineer will be crucial in building distributed systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across enterprise-grade applications. Key technical requirements include strong proficiency in Golang, Python, and extensive hands-on experience with AWS services for implementing serverless and event-driven architectures.

 

Job Description/Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, cloud-native backend services using Golang.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
• Work extensively with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, SQS, and SNS.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka or AWS EventBridge.
• Optimize applications for low latency and high availability.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Enforce cloud security best practices including IAM roles, encryption, and AWS WAF.
• Work with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient backend systems.

Mandatory Skills (Minimum Requirements)

1. Minimum 3+ years of backend development experience with Golang.
2. Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.).
3. Proficient in microservices architecture and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
4. Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL database systems.
5. Experience in serverless computing and event-driven architecture.
6. Strong understanding of API security and best practices (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel to Canada as required (Critical).
