Job Description/ Responsibilities

Database Administration & Maintenance
• Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Perform routine health checks, backups, and recovery operations.
• Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and resource management.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery
• Configure and manage (AG) and Distributed AG setups.
• Implement and monitor Transaction Log Replication for data consistency across environments.
• Ensure robust disaster recovery strategies are in place and regularly tested.

Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks using tools and techniques like execution plans, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues across development, test, and production environments.

Migration & Upgrades
• Plan and execute database migrations, version upgrades, and platform transitions with minimal downtime.
• Ensure data integrity and compatibility during migration processes.

Preferred Skills & Environment Exposure
• Experience with AWS cloud services for database hosting and management.
• Familiarity with Windows Clustering, Active Directory integration, and Rubrik backup solutions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless integration and support.

Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and data governance policies.
