Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager with
a strong emphasis on change management and user adoption. You will own
the end-to-end decommission roadmap for legacy systems, coordinate
cross-functional efforts, and ensure smooth transitions with high user
adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end decommission
roadmap for legacy systems, including scope, timelines, milestones, risks, and
success criteria.
- Lead change management activities to drive user
adoption and minimize business disruption during transitions, including
stakeholder engagement, communication plans, training, and support.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, Compliance, Data
Governance, and Business Units to plan, approve, and execute decommission
activities in alignment with governance and risk standards.
- Develop and execute a structured adoption
strategy (sponsorship, readiness assessments, training plans, and measurement
of adoption metrics).
- Create and maintain project artifacts: project
charter, program milestones, RACI, risk and issue logs, change impact
assessments, communication plans, and training materials.
- Define and track success metrics for
decommissioning projects (time-to-decommission, data migration completion,
policy enforcement, user satisfaction, incident reduction).
- Manage resource planning for the project:
identify staffing needs, assist with job descriptions, participate in hiring
processes, and onboard new team members effectively.
- Provide regular status reporting to stakeholders
and leadership; escalate blockers and propose solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data retention,
regulatory requirements, and security considerations during decommissioning.
- Post-decommission activities: archive artifacts,
capture lessons learned, and reinforce new processes and systems.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of project management experience, with
a track record of leading change management initiatives and driving user
adoption.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end
decommissioning or large-scale migration projects, preferably involving legacy
systems.
- Strong change management framework knowledge
(e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) and hands-on experience executing adoption strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and
communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical
audiences.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g.,
Microsoft Project/Planner, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet) and collaboration
platforms (Teams/SharePoint, Slack).
- Ability to create and manage RACI matrices, risk
registers, and project governance artifacts.
- Analytical mindset with experience in
requirements gathering, gap analysis, and success metric definition.
- Comfortable working in a matrix organization and
coordinating cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with data migration, data governance,
or archiving strategies.
- Knowledge of security, privacy, and regulatory
considerations related to decommissioning (e.g., data minimization, retention
policies).
- Change management certification (Prosci or
similar) is a plus.
- Experience with vendor/supplier management and
contract alignment for decommission activities.
- Familiarity with ITIL or service management
concepts.
