Description: Business Analyst : Data and Insurance experience
Location: Woodland Hills, CA - Hybrid 3 days a week
• Technical skills – Insurance Domain knowledge, Policy Processing Applications
• Strong analytical skills. Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and profiling skills.
• Experience in creating Business Requirement Documents, Functional Requirement Documents, and Mapping documents for ETL applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with various stakeholders
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into detailed specifications for software developers
• Conduct meetings/workshops to elicit, understand, and document business requirements using domain expertise
• Analyze data, perform in depth analysis of existing data and guide team members on implementation of new requirements
• Requires someone with insurance industry and data understanding.
• Knowledge of financial aspects like premium calculation and insurance transactions is needed.
• Understanding of policy definition and claims handling is important.
• Ability to interpret insurance requirements and translate them into data requirements.
o The BA will create source-to-target mappings.
o The BA will capture business transformation logic into technical transformation logic.
• They need to know how policies and claims are processed.
• They need to translate business and functional requirements into mapping documents for the technical team to use in DBT and Informatica.
