Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled strong SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) experience to design, develop, and test scalable RESTful APIs and backend services. The ideal candidate will combine strong backend development expertise with automation testing skills to ensure high-quality, reliable, and performant applications.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development (Java API)
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot
- Implement microservices-based architecture
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
- Develop integrations with third-party systems and internal services
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Implement authentication & authorization (OAuth2, JWT, etc.)
- Optimize application performance and scalability
SDET / Automation Testing
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for API and backend services
- Write API automation tests using tools like RestAssured, Postman, Karate, or similar
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to ensure high-quality releases
- Identify, document, and track defects
Required Qualifications
- 10-12+ years of experience in Java backend development
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and RESTful API development
- Experience in API automation testing
- Hands-on experience with:
- Java, Maven/Gradle
- REST API design principles
- JUnit/TestNG
- Rest Assured or similar API automation tools
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Microservices and Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
- Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
