Position Title: UX Designer

Location: Lawrence, Kansas

Duration: 12+ Months

Interview: Telephonic and Skype / Web Interview

 

The role requires deep knowledge of human-computer interaction, and visual communication. A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centred design methodologies is a must.

 

Education:

•      4-year degree, preferably in, design, psychology or related fields, or equivalent experience

 

Required Skills

·         5+ years of user experience design for software or web applications

·         5+ years of experience working with Photoshop and Illustrator or similar products

·         Experience with designing for mobile and hand-held devices

·         Experience with user-centred design methodologies and user interface design patterns

·         Should have a portfolio which demonstrates their design thinking process as well as problem solving and conceptual skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

·         Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript technologies.

·         Knowledge and understanding of assistive technologies such as screen-readers.

·         Front end development on mobile devices.

·         GIT version control.

·         Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

·         Experience with usability testing.
