Job Description -

Role: Mobile and Web App Developer
Location: Hybrid –  Harrisburg, PA(Local candidates only)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Mode of Interview: Skype  

Visa: GC-EAD / GC / US Citizens Only

Work Type / Location:  This position is Remote; however, will require reporting Onsite to the commission headquarters in Harrisburg, PA.  

• Onsite work is usually 1 week per month
• Consultant must work EST hours.  
• Candidates from PA, NJ, NY, DE, and OH will be given preference.  

 

Description of Duties

• Develop end to end apps using the PTC’s preferred tools
• Provide recommendation to the team on Mobile development strategy and distributed architectures
• Work with security lead to implement comprehensive cybersecurity measures in all work produced while ensuring legal compliance
• Perform end-to-end development of mobile website to enhance the user experience and maintain a high level of website performance
• Configure Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google Search Console Tools, and other tracking tools to make sure the performance is optimal as required
• Mentor other technical team members on mobile and web development
• Design and develop native android and IOS apps as required
• Advise stakeholders to clearly define requirements to meet the project objectives
• Develop standards based full stack applications of on demand services app
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to deploy the end-to-end apps on cloud services
• Take a leadership role in the UI/UX design process, ensuring an intuitive and accessible user interface, improving user engagement and operational efficiency
• Integrate CRM system with main platform to enhance end user communication, outbound marketing efforts and data management and with financial system to provide real time visibility to their transactions and balances to make efficient real time payments.
• Contribute to projects, focusing on responsive and dynamic web design and server speed optimization
• Actively engage with users to gather feedback and educate them on using the designed apps.  This role involved simplifying complex technical concepts to enhance user understanding and adoption
• Write comprehensive unit tests for code using with MS ADO Testing module
• Collaborate in an Agile environment, targeting rapid, reliable, and repeatable deployment of high-quality software
• Fully document all created work associated with this position, including technical and functional designs and diagrams, test plans, test scripts, impact analysis reports, lessons learned, best practices for others to follow, plus any other documentation as required by the PTC.  This documentation shall follow the format and / or templates as instructed by the PTC.
• Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
• Lead and participate in project team activities for system work efforts related to enterprise systems.
• Work independently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned.
• Adhere to and follow all PTC standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize various software and/or technology tools to perform job duties.
• Perform tasks and other duties as related to this position and role and assigned by the PTC.

Desired Skillset

• The candidate is required to have 3+ years of expertise in Mobile and Web Application development on projects of various sizes and subject matters.
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of expertise in Mobile and Web Application development on projects of various sizes and subject matters.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or information systems.
• Additional beneficial skills include:
• Enterprise Business Solutions, specifically SAP projects.
• ITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
