Job Title: Workday Business Analyst – Finance and HR

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid – local candidates preferred)
Job Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Business Analyst with strong expertise in Finance and HR modules to support a major Workday Financials implementation and its integration with HR processes. The ideal candidate will have proven experience gathering requirements, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, supporting testing cycles, and ensuring successful delivery of system enhancements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR, Finance, and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Workday Financials and HR modules.

  • Assess and communicate the impacts of new financial functionality on existing Workday HR processes and workflows.

  • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and discussions to ensure alignment across HR, Finance, and IT teams.

  • Support testing activities (SIT, UAT) by preparing test cases, executing tests, tracking defects, and ensuring timely resolution.

  • Monitor and manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to Workday Finance and HR integrations.

  • Document and maintain process flows, system impacts, and integration requirements to provide clarity for stakeholders.

  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring smooth communication and project execution.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize the use of Workday across Finance and HR functions.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with at least 3 years of experience in Workday (Finance and HR modules).

  • Strong understanding of Workday Financials and HR processes and their integration points.

  • Proven ability to gather and document requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

  • Hands-on experience supporting testing cycles (SIT, UAT, Regression) within Workday environments.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, risks, and dependencies in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Workday Financials implementation projects.

  • Knowledge of integration design between Workday and third-party financial or HR systems.

  • Strong documentation and process improvement skills.
