Hi David,

It's been quite a summer, although it's starting to finally feel like fall here.

We lost my dad in July, my daughter became engaged, my oldest son is also planning a wedding for next year, and youngest is about to leave for his second year of college.

I'm crazy busy at work getting ready for our every-four-year state review, but really enjoying my completely empty (besides the three furry critters) nest.

Sorry, David. I'm still around. Just slow.

Looking for more schools for which to teach. Seems there is a huge
lack of college students. :(

Summer was OK.

Hello David. Yes indeed, do not fall of your chair - Chaos/Knightmoon
is still alive and kicking. I am in Salem, Oregon at this point, and
much has happened between then and now, most of which is not worth
repeating. There are a couple of items, though.

A friend of mine here, let's call her Miss K, is an alcoholic, and a
serious one at that. She tries to quit and keeps trying, but keeps
falling. She has finally been able to get a job after a very long time
and hopefully this will help. She has also lost her son, Mr. B, who
was like my son to me. I was there for both of them for so long, since
about 7 months before he was born until she lost him when he was just
over two. Hopefully she will be able to get visitation rights soon
enough.

Another friend, "Miss D", is a free person, "renting" my spare
bedroom, and is on the right track. She has also just gotten a job.
She has a brother in law who is dirt bag - hitting on her though
married to her sister. This, of course, has a lot of problems
associated with it, especially because of the family values within the
family - mother, father (who just got another job after more than a
year of nothaving one (wonderful news!)), brothers, and so on.

As for me, I guess I am something of an artist, a fractal artist, or
so I have been told. :) I am on Facebook (David Shanholtzer), and
there you can see some of my art in a couple of photo albums,
including pictures from "Other Worlds" as well as a few of my fractal
pictures. :)

I still play chess from time to time, but anymore I have time only for
a scattered 5 minute game here and there on line.

So that is a kind of very brief update. I really should check in more
often. And where is everyone else?
