I have heard that people really liked the reminder emails that Meetup
sent prior to the meetings. I could start doing a mass email if people
wanted me to, to remind everyone if you'd like. Previously that was
strictly sent by Meetup for the members who selected that option. I
also don't want to bombard people with unwanted emails, so please tell
me what you think.
I understand that there is currently no option to list who is in the
group, or their email address. I actually view this as a "pro" instead
of a "con", because I am sick of getting my address harvested from
groups like this and getting spammed. But, I also know people want to
keep in touch - so what I figure is, I'll give everyone my contact info
at the meetings, and you can let me know if you mind or don't mind
having your email address exchanged with other members of the group
instead of posting it here for the world to see. Of course, we could
have a contact thread as well for those who don't mind posting an
address. Just some ideas.
