I just found the link to give Google feedback on features. I sent them
the following letter, after choosing "other" from a list they had
supplied:

"All of the above except default quoting, plus:

Member avatars

Option for members to see the member list - controlled by owner

Event calendar

Automated event reminders

Message summary (X messages in Y month)

Activity feature (if someone has not logged in for a certain period,
their name would turn red or some such, that way we can know how to
clear out the deadwood in our lists)

Ability to edit posts once submitted - things change and typos happen,
it would be nice to edit without deleting the whole post

Ability to make individual topics "sticky", like FAQ's so people don't
have to try to hunt for them

You would attract more groups with more features...Meetup.com is
starting to charge for their groups and they are losing groups daily.
A lot of groups are migrating to Yahoo! but if you duped their
features, combined with keeping the spam protection/lack of obnoxiously
intrusive ads, etc. it would be great and you'd get more people seeing
your ads."

Go here to give them your own input - make sure and choose
"Suggestion/feature request", and then choose "other" so you can add
your own comments.
