In case some of you didn't know, I am currently between permanent jobs
(anyone need a desktop support geek?) and make my living as a contract
PC Technician/odd job doer. In my never-ending quest to pay the bills,
right wrongs, save children from burning buildings, promote world
peace, etc. etc. etc. (but mainly to pay the bills) I have taken a
2-month contract assignment starting next Wednesday in which the shift
ends at 8 pm. Due to this assignment, I am going to delegate the
responsibility for coordinating the meetings to our ever-faithful
Deputy Kimber in my absence. I will do my best to attend the Wednesday
night meetings at Fiber Naturell after work but the distance will not
allow me to attend the Monday night meetings at The Coffee Emporium at
all, and certainly not be able to teach a lesson in a timely manner.
The turnout at Coffee Emporium last time was thin (aka nobody, to my
knowledge), so if people are currently busy with school or other things
on Mondays, it might be best to postpone Monday nights until 2 months
from now anyway. Please log into the Meetup.com board at
http://knitting.meetup.com/70/ to give your comments, questions,
thoughts, feelings, and so forth on this proposal (not to mention keep
you listed as an "active" member to protect you against the upcoming
listpurge again.)
Don't forget the message board is open for anyone who is a member of
our group to start and discuss topics on, so jump in here or at the
above link and tell us about yourself, your favorite projects, any
knitting-related trips you might want to take (there are several
upcoming ones that people might want to go to and if there is enough
interest, we could attend as a group!) or other things and keep the
group alive. Remember, any group is only as strong as its members and
we encourage contributions from everyone, even if you're just starting
out and want to ask questions.
If you need to contact me about this (or just need your PC fixed at
good rates!) let me know by logging on to the Meetup.com board and
clicking my "Contact Me" link.
Thanks for being a part of the group!
