The QuickCam driver is currently available in two forms.

1. The qc-usb driver was originally focused on the QuickCam Web, but should now work with all cameras that work also with qce-ga. It contains a superset qce-ga's features and is the preferred driver. Almost everyone will use this driver. Download it from our Sourceforge release page.
2. The CVS versions available by following the Sourceforge CVS usage instructions. The module names are quickcam and qc-usb.

InstallationThis section explains how to compile and install the qc-usb driverfor the Linux kernel. For the most current instructions, please read the README that comes with the driver. These instructions explain how to compile the driver as a standalone module, which is the only optionat this time because the driver has not (yet) been integrated into the mainline kernel.

I just find the cam works fine in amsn, on its video setting screen (ie. amsn>account>preference>others>audio and video settings>edit audio and video settings) I can see myself and video device=v4l:logitech quickcam usb.
except amsn, it never works in any other programs.
in skype, the video looks like ghost shadow but if I move, the shadow follows.
in cheese, video shows nothing but mosaic.

Im using a logitech webcam C615 but the quality in photois very poor, I tried with my Nikon D3000 as a webcam but theSPARKBOOTH software doesnt recognize it. Do you have anysugestion to upgrade the quality? Does any other webcam offer abetter quality on photos?

1. I've tried two different webcams that show flickering only when using zoom - it does not flicker when I use the native camera app on my laptop.

3. I've tried uninstalling and installing the latest zoom software
4. I've tried to uninstall and install my graphics driver
5. I've tried using logitech webcam app to change anti-flicker to 50Hz from 60Hz
6. Flickering does not happen on my laptop's built-in webcam while on zoom. Flickering also does not appear to be happening when on C920 + Zoom + Laptop display.
7. Installed the latest driver for my samsung monitor (S22E310H)
8. Continues to flicker on C920 webcam + Zoom + S22E310H monitor but no flicker on C920 + Camera App + S22E310H monitor.
