Hi.

Looking through the code and the group I see this mentioned - what is this exactly?
How it differs from RTMP protocol?

Thanks for any info.

LiveFLV is NOT RTMP. LiveFLV is a protocol capable of ingesting an flv file and transform it into a live stream. Doesn't have anything to do with RTMP. The ingested FLV can be after that served as RTMP (simple coincidence) or as RTSP or as HLS (in the commercial version)

This LiveFLV is very well suited for serving files from an HTTP source. Basically, crtmpserver can connect to a HTTP source, get the file and serve it further to other clients WITHOUT having to save it locally. It gets the file at minimum bandwidth at which the file plays back perfectly. Very useful in HDD-less deployments :)

Cheers,
Andrei

Hi Andrei,

Is there any example for LiveFLV usage where input file is coming from
HTTP source?

Thanks in advance

using http protocol to push stream into liveflv, you should implement it by your self.
It's easy to just train the http protocol and liveflv protocol together.
