Certification Scheme in Information Security

Keeping in view the pervasive nature and impact of information security on all walks of life - economic and social, Government of India has identified Information Security as one of the major thrust area for launching various development programs. Hence, DeitY has approved a project name Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase II in the year 2014.
One of the objectives of ISEA project is to implement a robust
certification mechanism in Information Security with technical
experience and guidance from RC's (of ISEA Project) which will
set the international acceptable standards with CDAC and
NIELIT as the implementing organization.
With the above objective in mind, CDAC, Noida
has launched the Certification Scheme in Information Security
with three levels of certification scheme as a part of
Information Security Education and Awareness project on July
4, 2016. The candidate interested may get the complete details
of Certification Scheme in Information Security from
www.isea-pmu.in web site. The candidate may apply and take
admission for one or more modules of Level 1 either
in Regular Mode or Online Mode. The Prospectus of the same may
be downloaded from the website.
There would be an Objective type Online Exam
for the registered candidates on 4th Saturday of the months of
August, November, February & May in an academic year. To
qualify for a pass in a module, a candidate must obtained at
least 50% in each module examination. A candidate would be
provided with the Grade Sheet and Participation Certificate
upon successful completion of any module with at least 50%
marks. Further a candidate would also be provided with the
Grade Sheet and Professional Certificate upon successful
completion of all the modules of a particular level (L1) with
at least 50% marks.
The Certification Scheme in Information Security launched jointly by CDAC and NIELIT as a part of ISEA Project Phase II, DeitY, Government of India would definitely provide the opportunity to build, enhance and sustain high levels of professional conduct. This would also prepare the participant for a job in industry and elsewhere.
