Happy December Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir!
I hope that you all have enjoyed a Happy Thanksgiving with family, friends, delicious food, relaxation, and fun! And now….Here it is! Our Concert and Performance month!! It’s very exciting!
Here are the Notes and Reminders for this week:
· We have an altered rehearsal tomorrow to have practice time for the Sing-A-Long. Here is the chorister schedule for tomorrow, December 2.
o 4:30-5:30 A/B Choirs
o 5:30-6:30 B+ Choir
o 6:30-7:00 A B B+ C Choirs for Sing-A-Long practice
o 7:10-9:00 C Choir
· Tomorrow is the Costume Check for the C Choir only
· No Junior C Choir tomorrow. Junior C Choir will resume next week
· Have you put up your concert poster? Have you handed out your 2 postcards to invite friends to the concert? Or to invite a young student to join the RVCC? We have more posters and postcards if you can put them up and have a great place to share them. We appreciate everyone’s help for us to have a full audience for our singers!

· Recruiting!!! We are in full RECRUITMENT mode and have a goal to add 10 new B+ Singers, and several other singers to the other choirs. Will you help us spread the word and be on the lookout for some great potential new RVCC singers?
· Next week, December 9 is the Costume Check for the A B B+ Choir
· Memory Check for all choristers is next week, December 9
· Family Choir rehearsals are next week, December 9 and also on December 16. Come and sing with your chorister! The schedule is attached.
· Holiday Pops is this week! The RVCC Concert Choir is singing with the Roanoke Symphony and Symphony Chorus on Friday, December 6. The performance is at 7:30 PM at the Salem Civic Center. It is such a fun show and is a great introduction for our young musicians to enjoy a symphony performance! We hope that many of our choristers can attend! You can cheer for the Concert Choir and enjoy the very festive evening.
Concert Tickets for your school teacher or music teacher: We are offering 2 complimentary tickets to your favorite school or music teacher. All RVCC choristers are welcome to invite a favorite school or music teacher to the concert. This would be a good person to give one of the Concert Postcards with all of the concert information on it. (You have received 2 postcards for inviting people to the concert). If your teacher confirms that they would like to attend the concert, find out which concert they prefer. (1:30 or 4:00) After your teacher has confirmed that they would like to attend the concert with 2 complimentary tickets, email me with the choristers name, teacher’s name and school and the preferred concert time. We will then send tickets home with that student at the next rehearsal to give to their teacher.
