Notes and Reminders for the RVCC on November 17, 2024

 

Hello Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir,

We’re in the final countdown for our beautiful Holiday Concert.  5 rehearsals left!

 

Here are the Notes and Reminders for this week

·       The B+ dresses will be handed out tomorrow, on the front porch, from 5:30-7:30 to a parent.

·       The A, B and boys costumes are delayed and will be handed out on November 25

·       Have you purchased your concert tickets? childrenschoir.com/tickets

·       Sign-up to sing in the Parent/Grandparent Choir tomorrow.  Choristers sign-up the family member’s name at the attendance check-in desk.

·       Choristers can sign-up to tryout to tell a Joke or Fun Fact.  Sign-up tomorrow and tryout on November 25!

·       Open Rehearsal tomorrow:  Parents are welcome to observe rehearsal tomorrow and sit in the middle or back seats. 

·       Costume Check on December 2   ALL CHORISTERS wear their full choir costume to rehearsal on this day.

·       Memory Check on December 9   All music must be memorized by this day.

 

Recruiting New Singers!

Do you know a 2^nd grader who loves to sing?  We are especially looking for 2^nd graders to join the A Choir in January!  We have a Newcomer Class on December 12 at 6:00 at Faith Alliance Church.  Here is the link to share and they can sign-up for a class, find out more about the RVCC, and register!  https://www.childrenschoir.com/how-to-join

We’ve got a BIG recruiting plan in motion for the B+ Choir!  We would like to get 10 more Middle School Singers in the B+ starting in January.  So far, 11 of our Middle School students have signed on to talk to their school Band and Choir classes about the RVCC.  They are making arrangements with the school music directors and I’ve given them the Talking Points and they are going to be our BEST ambassadors for the RVCC! 

 

We have students signed up to talk at the following schools:  Hidden Valley Middle, Cave Spring Middle, Ben Franklin Middle, Woodrow Wilson Middle, Community Middle, Northside Middle, Roanoke Catholic Middle, William Byrd Middle, Staunton River Middle, Andrew Lewis Middle, and a Homeschooling group.  If you could represent a Middle School not listed here, please let me know!
