C Choir 2025-26! Announcing the C Choir Trip 2026!

I’m excited to announce our Concert Choir Festival for 2026! We are going to participate in the “Sing A Mile High” choral festival in Denver, Colorado on June 22-27, 2026.
Our trip leaders are Jaime Hodges as chair, and Katherine Havener as co-chair. We’ve had our first meeting and these ladies are going to be great team leaders!
This Festival has been going strong since 2006 and is usually filled to the capacity of 180 Middle School and High School singers from around the country. Our friends from the Shenandoah Valley Children’s Choir attended this festival a few years ago and said they loved it! I’ve been watching the information about this festival for many years, and this is our year to go to Colorado!!
I’m very pleased that your festival musical directors will be Francisco and Elizabeth Nunez, directors of the Young People’s Chorus of New York. They have done great things with their choir and I think you’ll love working with them. They’re also going to be bringing High School singers from their New York City choir.
All choirs stay in dorms on the campus of the University of Denver. The performance will be in the beautiful Newman Center for the Arts and it looks lovely!
Before the festival begins on Tuesday, June 23, we’re going to add an extra day and fly out on Monday, so we can have an adventure to the top of Pike’s Peak on Tuesday morning before the festival begins! “Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain is a majestic landmark located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rising over 14,000 feet into the sky, Pikes Peak captivates visitors with its stunning beauty and iconic presence.” We’re going to take a very safe and specialized train ride to the top of Pike’s Peak!
The festival begins on Tuesday at 5:00 after our Pike’s Peak adventure. There will be rehearsals and a beautiful performance at the Newman Center for the Arts, plus lots of fun!

· Pikes Peak as an add-on to the festival for the RVCC
The trip price includes the following:
· Festival
· Lodging and nearly all meals
· Airfare
· Bus to and from the airport
· 1 extra night in the dorm
· Bus ride to Colorado Springs to explore Pike’s Peak
· Train ride to Pike’s Peak
· Trip T-Shirt
The total price of the festival trip is $2200. The monthly payments will be $315 for seven months, September through March. (Due on the 15th of each month) The first payment and registration is due on September 15.
