Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know about Tuesday's meeting. First of all, due to something going on in the Wilk, we won't have access to our regular room. The club meeting will therefore be held in
room 3331 of the Harold B. Lee Library at 7pm. It's one of the glass-walled rooms in the southwest corner of the "Learning Commons" area on the main floor (see this
map). It's quite near the main entrance. We'll be holding a "get to know your radio" night where we figure out and then practice doing several common operations with our radios (changing power levels, switching to simplex mode, etc.). When you're in the middle of something using your radio, it's good to know how do do some simple things with it without having to fumble around with a manual.
So bring your radios, along with your manuals (if you have one). For those without a manual, we can try to find a copy online for you at the meeting. For those without radios, this is a good opportunity to learn about some key radio features and perhaps observe which radios you might—or might not—want to buy someday, especially if you just finished the class we've been teaching!
Hope to see you all there!

Walter Fazio (KD7TEO)
