CQ CQ CQ!! Campus Watch begins next week! Please volunteer if you are able, we need club members to participate as net control operators. Plus it’s always a fun-filled experience to be a “stealth” operator – kind of like being a secret agent. Check the club Google groups website for a roster, or contact n7...@byu.edu to sign up for a shift or two or three…

Campus watch operations will be conducted on the club repeater (145.330-) and we will hope to have PL requirements disabled for the net, otherwise you may have to supply 100 Hz PL to transmit. Backup simplex frequency will be 147.48 MHz, in case we need to abandon the repeater for some reason such as malicious interference.

We are also planning a “tailgate” BBQ at the shift change time Friday night/Saturday morning (1 am); the club will supply meat and buns (hot dogs and/or hamburgers), and everyone else should bring a side dish, salad, chips, or dessert. RSVP before Thanksgiving day to n7...@byu.edu so we have an accurate head count and can plan for enough meat.

Thanks to all for your help and participation. Hope to see you (or at least hear you) at Campus Watch. 73
