Y'all are football fans, right?  This (see below) looks like a fun idea.  What's more, the Cougs ARE playing this year.  Anyone interested in implementing this?  Or something similar?  Could be on one of the repeaters, doesn't have to be simplex.  73 DE K7LU

You might be perplexed by the name.

For the past five years, during football season we have run a simplex net at halftime during every ducks game, either home or away.

Well, in honor of the Ducks, who aren't playing a season this year, we are STILL running simplex nets.on Saturdays. All licensed hams are welcome to participate.

The net is on 147.42 FM MHz simplex, and starts at NOON, pacific time, on Saturday.

If you haven't participated in a simplex net, you might be surprised at how it works, and how simplex communications can be more challenging than using a repeater.. 

See you on Saturday!
