I got these two good comments:

"I would suggest having a more regular evaluation of where students
are and where the class is at with assignments. Many of us assumed
that everyone else was staying caught up, and towards the end of the
semester we realized that all of us were very far behind. This was a
lack of communication on our part as well, but it could help to
facilitate that in the future."

"I think my learning may have been additionally enhanced by perhaps
having a few readings or writing assignments that provided a good
opportunity to formally read about and reflect on some of these topics
(e.g. Hoare logic, constructive vs. classical logic, etc...). "

I think I will do both of these, especially the second. Maybe have a
little "essay" at some point in the class that will be like a midterm
and count as 4 star or something.
