what's returned from bif

For bif the assignment says "the test expression of bif ("boolean if") must evaluate to true or false"

So are we free to say that bif is just the same as racket's if? If the two branches are the same, do we just return the type-of the branches? We were just a little confused on what is being returned from bif, thanks,

A bif returns just like the ifs we have seen in class. They return their true/false branch and restrict them to be the same due to conservativism.
