I agree that people should remember that this is a community forum. It
is neighbors talking to neighbors. We can disagree and still be civil.
Just like you would with your next door neighbor. It does not cost
anything to be polite and it does not weaken anyone's argument but
rather strengthens it.
I have been dismayed to see the current exchange because I know Kim to
be a passionate and tireless worker for the things she believes in and
Dane is about as nice as a person could be,a quiet ever ready presence
willing to pitch in whenever his community needs him and Jim McBroom is
a community treasure who puts countless volunteer hours into his
neighborhood and city.
People can hold strong opinions ( lord knows I do) but that does not
make them evil.

As always Susan you have a wonderful way with words. My opinions would have never been expressed if Mr. McBroon had not been so quick to make assumptions and point fingers. Making strong assumptions and spreading ugly rumors is something I hate!!!! And when I see it aimed at a friend of mine, I take it personally. Then to have someone delight in anothers misfortune, well this irritates me even more. My moto has always been "Do onto others as you would want done to you".
Have a great day. --- On Wed, 11/3/10, moonval...@charter.net <moonval...@charter.net> wrote: |

As I said I live by the "Golde Rule", it would be a much better world if we all did. My intial response was not any lower that the false assumptions and finger pointing that your Alderman posted. An Alderman that runs your city. As I said intially, if people would think before they start accussing and pointing fingers (speaking) it would be for the best.
This is done for me. I hope you all have a wonferful day.
