I for one would like to encourage full transparency of all financial
statements for the past that have not been made public, as well as all
future financial information. We need to see exactly how all our tax
money has been spent for all 6 month periods in the past. We can only
judge how our city is doing by knowing how the money has been, and is,
being spent. This is our tax money, not the property of the
alderpeople, mayor, and employees of Byrnes Mill. I understand a
request made over 6 months ago for this information has received no
response, except that there is a "computer glitch." That sounds
pretty suspicious to me, and hard to believe. I understand that
before any money can be spent, that full, accurate financial
statements must be made public. These financial statements should not
be budgets, but exactly how the money has been spent. Why can't
Byrnes Mill citizens know this information? Why is it being kept a
secret. Well, the attorney general's office of the state of Missouri
will find out what is going on.
